Daan Welling
I’m a consultant, trainer, and strategic thinker and doer, working at the intersection of climate, inclusion, and social impact. I support organizations that don’t just want to run projects - but want to chart a course. My strength lies in combining analytical depth, systemic insight, and pedagogical expertise. I quickly immerse myself in new topics, ask the right questions, and translate abstract goals into tangible formats, campaigns, or learning trajectories. I excel in language, structure, and political sensitivity, and operate comfortably at the crossroads of strategy and execution, people and paper. My clients range from the European Commission to youth organizations, from local movements to international educational networks. I’ve contributed to policy advice on European forest strategy, biodiversity in the Caucasus, digital media literacy, and advocacy for young people with disabilities. I’ve worked with and for organizations including Stritih d.o.o., IederIn, DebatUnie, STEP Institute, IDEA, Erasmus+, the Dutch Youth Climate Movement, and GroenLinks. My work is values-driven: progressive, socio-ecological, rooted in equality, autonomy, and collective empowerment. No technocratic jargon or opaque consultancy speak - just thoughtful collaboration, grounded in clarity and direction.

Estonteco means a future in the making - and it's the name of this solo practice. The word comes from Esperanto and literally translates to: that which will be. But Estonteco doesn’t see the future as something abstract or technological. Instead, it understands the future as conscious, relational, and actionable - something we co-create through the way we organize, speak, educate, and act in the present.⚙️ What I doEstonteco supports projects at the intersection of climate policy, education, and social strategy. This includes:Structuring policies or campaigns grounded in progressive values.Designing educational trajectories that empower young people and communities.Advising organizations that want to deepen their impact with sharper analysis and strategic realism.Writing reports, leading trainings, executing campaigns - I do it all with practiced hands.🌱 What I stand forSystems thinking - no quick fixes, but from the ground up.
Clarity of language and structure - if it matters, it should be explainable.
Radical proximity - change starts not in models, but in relationships.
Values-driven professionalism -efficiency without losing your core.
Imagination as strategy - not for dreaming, but for setting direction.
